Night is coming and mama dog's temperature drops. Restless she arranges and rearranges the mounds of stuffing that was once her bed. Ignoring her dinner, she takes comfort in the dim light and secluded den she is busy preparing. As the hours tick towards midnight, she begins to whirl slowly round and round. Pausing now and again her mind far away - or deep within. It won't be long now.
